At the lobby of the Rixos hotel, there was entertainment to make everyone feel welcome, along with a candy buffet table in the center where one could choose what they please. Members of Nakhal handled the check in for the rooms overlooking the main courtyard which are spacious, thematic and colorful. The hotel is very kids friendly, with patterned carpeting, a special area for playing in addition to arcade games which was covered by Beiruting Kids.
Rixos hotel provides its guests with a special bracelet that allows them access to all the rides at Land of The Legends, and there is a counter facing the main fountain where one can transfer currency into this bracelet to be used for purchases upon the premises. Among these shops are dessert kiosks, refreshment stands, souvenir mini mall, and even lunch on chairs and tables immersed in water next to the children's pool with colorful decoration.
We started with a brunch at the large dining area which includes a wide selection of omelettes, pastries, cheeses, fruits and veggies among other items. Afterwards we were led to the stadium where the Waterfront Kingdom Show was about to begin, including dolphins and a walrus with their trainers. Following the show we had time to explore the theme park and try the rides such as the lazy river, roller coaster and water slides. A dinner at Al Abir followed, and it is the only Lebanese restaurant in the compound, with delicious cuisine, gold and burgundy interior and a belly dancer for entertainment.
As the day came to a closing, we were ushered into the Nakhal bus and to the airport for a smooth flight back to Beirut with Wings of Lebanon.
